Research

To start my research into my opening of a film a few questions were established on what would need to be asked in order to gain primary and secondary research. This table is filled with what questions or areas I am going to need to research, where I would get this research from, including what methods would be used and why this area would be researched. This will give me a guideline of what will need to be completed in my research.

As you can see genre was the first topic in the table. Research into this area is going to be found using secondary research, and looking into what genres are most popular in the past year. This will ensure that the genre chosen would be up to the current needs of the public, making it a popular film. The research provided will decide what genre will be chosen.

The next topic is based on the target audience. I will use secondary research to find out what the target audience is and primary research will be used to find out information about the target audience. I am going to use analysis of previous films in the genre chosen to gain an insight into what their target audience was, I will use the results from this research to choose my target audience for my film. I will then use surveys and other primary research methods to find out more information about the audience which I will incorporate the findings in my end opening.

I will continue to use the table to tackle the different aspects that I will be researching. Therefore the table is an important part of my research.
